Radiant Floors versus Radiant Walls Using Ceramic Thermal Panels in Mediterranean Dwellings: Annual Energy Demand and Cost-Effective Analysis

چکیده
The present study focuses on the application of large-format thermal ceramic conditioning panels (TCPs) containing polypropylene (PPR) capillary tube mats in dwellings Mediterranean coast. and energy behaviours were examined once underfloor heating was installed, they compared with an alternative wall application. system implemented a single-family house located Spanish After having monitored during complete one-year cycle, annual demand quantified using Design Builder tool. TCP applied to radiant floors reduced by 5.15% wall-layout alternative. Significant reductions CO2 emissions also achieved, as well 25.19% reduction convection systems. incorporation 24 m2 solar into system, combined cooling systems based lithium chloride, analysed. A 57.46% obtained all-air Finally, amortisation periods investments calculated system. Underfloor proved be more cost-effective than installation. additional cost EUR 21,844 could amortised over approximately 14 years while would 17.4 years.

متن کاملAnalysis of Effective Radiant Temperatures in a Pacific Northwest Forest Using Thermal Infrared Multispeetral Scanner Data
Analysis of Thermal Infrared Multispectral Scanner data collected over H. J. Andrews experimental forest in western Oregon indicated that aspect and slope gradient had a greater effect on the thermal emission of younger reforested clearcuts than of older stands. Older forest stands ( > 25 years) with greater amounts of green biomass and dosed canopies had lower effective radiant temperatures th...
متن کاملRadiant Heat and Thermal Comfort in Vehicles
Infrared-reflective (IRR) treatment of automotive glass has been shown to reduce air temperature in vehicle cabins, thereby increasing fuel economy and occupant comfort. Its effect on radiant heat, however, may augment these benefits. In this study, the hypothesis that radiant heat affects subjective comfort ratings in a vehicle was tested. IRR films were systematically applied to the driver-si...
متن کاملThermal Ceramic Panels and Passive Systems in Mediterranean Housing: Energy Savings and Environmental Impacts
This research examines the benefits of designing a living space in a basement, as a method of passive temperature control in summer, combined with thermal ceramic panels (TCP) on some walls. These panels incorporate a capillary system of polypropylene tubes which work with cold water. We studied a detached house on the coast of Alicante, where the moderate temperature of the ground tempered int...
متن کاملThermal stability of radiant black holes
Beginning with a brief sketch of the derivation of Hawking’s theorem of horizon area increase, based on the Raychaudhuri equation, we go on to discuss the issue as to whether generic black holes, undergoing Hawking radiation, can ever remain in stable thermal equilibrium with that radiation. We derive a universal criterion for such a stability, which relates the black hole mass and microcanonic...
